Welcome To Springwater Polled Herefords

Springwater Polled Herefords is a family run business that has been raising quality Hereford cattle for the past 36 years.  Our parents Ron and Dorothy Williamson received their first Polled Hereford cow, Queen Jane, as a wedding present from Ron's parents Perry and Shirley.  Years later in 1990 Springwater Polled Herefords was established.  Ron purchased his first bulls and cows from various producers in Minnesota and South Dakota.  Ron passed away prematurely in 2004 and so today Springwater Polled Herefords is owned and operated by his sons Chad and Troy Williamson.  Also, Travis, his youngest son still enjoys showing at Junior shows.

     Springwater Polled Herefords currently consists of 80 registered Hereford cows where Artificial Insemination and Embryo Transfer is used, along with using high quality clean up bulls to constantly improve our overall herd quality to meet the demands of the area producers.   Replacement females and herd sires are selected using Total Performance Data and Ultrasound Data in addition to the overall phenotypic qualities our farm is dedicated to achieving.   Our cattle are marketed at the Sioux Empire Farm Show, Watertown Winter Farm Show, Gopher the Purple Sale, SD Excellence Sale and at the MN Beef Expo along with private treaty on our farm.
